SKIN MODEL (Soft tissue engineering)
Full thickness skin models composed of dermal and epidermal layers can be manufactured using the BioFactory® instrument. It is accomplished by forming sequential layers of cell permissive hydrogels sequestering signal molecules (e.g. FGF; VEGF) with layers of fibroblasts and keratinocytes cells for example.
